Maria Rauch-Kallat new NPC President

The former Austrian Minister of Health, Youth and Family and NPC Vice President Maria Rauch-Kallat is the new President of the Austrian Paralympic Committee. She succeeds former NPC President Peter Wittmann, who was in charge of this position since the foundation of the Austrian Paralympic Committee in 1998.

Peter Wittman, now Honorary President, took the opportunity to thank the NPC Board and its members for the excellent work and development the Austrian NPC has gone through during the past ten years. His special thanks were awarded to Secretary General Petra Huber and treasurer Gerhard Frank.

Maria Rauch-Kallat is willing to continue the outstanding achievements of her predecessor Peter Wittmann and expressed her gratitude towards the Board for trusting her. The new President draws her attention on developing equal treatment of athletes with or without disabilities. One main focus will be the promotion of Youth and Children with disabilities as well as encouraging women.

The Austrian Paralympic Committe wants to thank all former Board Members for their support and cooperation and is looking forward to working with the new Board from now on.
