To be en vogue - outfits for Team Austria

Stylish and trendy with a typical Austrian touch - that is the characteristic of the Austrian uniform for the XIII. Summer-Paralympics in Beijing 2008. The outfit of the Austrian delegation is not only en vogue but also – hopefully - very talismanic.

f.l.t.r.: Petra Huber, Thomas Geierspichler, Andrea ScherneyOn Friday, July 11, the Austrian team was fitted out with uniforms from La Hong (festive clothing), JMB Fashion (‘off time’ clothing) and Intersport (sportive clothing). Sportsmen, coaches and members of the organisation were sold on the special design of the outfits.

JMB Fashion’s clothing reflects in ‘patriotic’ colours – white and red – and a discreet fawn for the jackets and trousers.
The festive outfit is decorated in light grey and a strong red for the trouser suits and the fancy dress, a bright white for the     chemise, shirts and blouses. Andrea ScherneyLa Hong convinced with a special idea, including the “eight” in the talismanic design of the clothing. “Eight” as a symbol for fortune in the Chinese culture should push the Austrian team in Beijing to have luck on their side.
